1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Veridoc ("Veridoc", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Veridoc.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of these Terms.

2. What Veridoc does

Veridoc is a tool for keeping track of professional credentials — state licenses, DEA registrations, and board certifications — and for reminding you before they expire. It also lets you store related documents, log continuing education, and, if you choose, share a summary of your credentials with an employer.

3. Veridoc is not legal, licensing, or professional advice

We do our best to be accurate, but we do not warrant that any requirement, date, fee, or link shown in the product is correct or current.

4. Who can use Veridoc

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. Veridoc is intended for healthcare professionals, those in training for a healthcare profession, and the organizations that employ or credential them.

5. Your account

• Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. We recommend turning on two-step verification.
• Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
• Do not share your login with anyone else. Employer teams have their own accounts for that purpose.

6. Your content stays yours

Everything you add to Veridoc — your credentials, documents, notes, and records — remains yours. You grant us only the permission we need to store, process, and display that content in order to run the service for you (including sending it back to you in exports and reminders).

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for making sure it is accurate. You can export your data at any time and delete it whenever you want.

7. Employer teams and sharing

If you join an employer's team, you choose what that team can see — either all of your credentials or a specific list you select. You can change that choice, or leave the team, at any time; access ends immediately when you do.

A list of credentials an employer asks you for is their requirement, not Veridoc's, and it does not by itself give them access to anything. If you use the employer portal, you are responsible for handling the credential information of the people on your roster lawfully and only for legitimate credentialing purposes.

8. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Upload credentials or documents that are not yours or that you are not authorized to hold.
• Falsify credential information, or use Veridoc's exports to misrepresent someone's qualifications.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data, probe or interfere with the service's security, or disrupt it for others.
• Scrape, copy, or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
• Use Veridoc for anything unlawful, or in violation of any professional or licensing obligation you have.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

9. Price and paid features

Veridoc is free for individual clinicians. Team dashboards for organizations are free during early access. If we introduce paid plans for organizations, we will say so clearly in advance and no charge will be made without agreement. Any paid terms in place at that time will be presented before payment.

10. Availability of the service

We work to keep Veridoc running reliably, but we cannot promise it will always be available or uninterrupted. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can. Do not rely on Veridoc as your only reminder for a deadline that matters.

11. Our intellectual property

The Veridoc name, logo, software, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms give you permission to use the service, not ownership of it. Please don't copy, modify, or reverse engineer it.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which deletes your data and your sign-in. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, or if we stop offering the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — such as the disclaimers and the limitation of liability — will do so.

13. Disclaimers

Veridoc is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any reminder will be delivered.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veridoc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost income, or lost professional opportunity, arising out of your use of the service — including any lapsed credential, missed deadline, or missed reminder.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or [AMOUNT — e.g. US$100].

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the courts located in [COUNTY, STATE].

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product develops. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Veridoc after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
